About the play: The sweet Brewster sisters, Abby and Martha, with the departure of their nephews, the sinister Jonathan and the theatre critic Mortimer, have been taking in gentlemen borders. The sisters, known throughout their neighborhood for their charitable works, have been taking in lonely old gentlemen as boarders. But, somehow, the gentlemen always end up in the Panama Canal! Confused, yet? But there's more! The remaining nephew, thinks he's Teddy Roosevelt and blows his horn at all hours. And if you were thinking of plastic surgery, we wouldn't recommend Dr. Einstein that is unless you want to look like Boris Karloff. There's Mortimer's fiancée, Elaine, who doesn't know if she's coming or going and her pompous father who doesn't approve of Mortimer's profession in the “theatre.” Then there's the policeman who wants to be a playwright who's totally oblivious to the fact that two hardened criminals are standing right next to him!

Elderberry wine anyone?
